COOKING IN NORMANDY AT "ON RUE TATIN"
WITH AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR SUSAN HERRMANN LOOMIS

Join cookbook and memoir author Susan Herrmann Loomis in her 15th century Norman home for hands-on cooking classes celebrating the culinary bounty of Normandy.

With Susan as your guide, experience a slice of life in the heart of the Norman countryside, just 80 minutes from Paris. Visit Susan's favorite local market, meet her wine and food purveyors, then cook with the selections of the day in her beautifully equipped, contemporary kitchen.

Classes with Susan at her school, On Rue Tatin is scheduled for April 25-30th, May 9-14th, May 24-28th, May 30-June 4th, June 13-18th, September 12-17th, September 26-October 1st, October 10-15th & October 17-22nd, at a cost of $2,000 per person. Included are hands-on cooking classes, recipes, most meals and all excursions. Guest eaters may join the group for meals for $750.00. Classes are limited to eight participants and are conducted in English.

Susan Herrmann Loomis is the author of French Farmhouse Cooking and On Rue Tatin, a memoir of her trials and triumphs as an American adapting to life in France, all while restoring a former nunnery, raising a family and writing cookbooks.

On Susan Herrmann Loomis Susan began her writing career in newspapers in the state of Washington in the 1970's. From there she moved to Paris where she was an apprentice at the renowned culinary school, La Varenne Ecole de Cuisine. With a Grand Diplome in hand, she opened a small café in Paris and later embarked on a successful writing career, which has already spanned some twenty years. She is the author of six cookbooks, the most recent of which is On Rue Tatin, a memoir with recipes.

Susan has appeared as guest on numerous TV and radio programs. These include Good Morning America, National Public Radio in the United States, and FR3 and Radio Bleu in France. Her column "Letter From France," is published by Condé Nast Online at www.epicurious.com. She is a frequent contributor to culinary magazines, such as Bon Appetit, Metropolitan Home, Cooking Light, Food and Wine, and other publications.
